Chinese UFO Sightings

This has been a huge story not just in the paranormal community but has grabbed the attention of the general population of the world as well due to major media coverage of this bizarre event. Here is all the information that has been made public on these strange incidents:

On July 8, 2010, a Chinese airport was completely shut down and all incoming flights were diverted to other cities far from Hangzhou City’s Xiaoshan airport, where radar indicated that a large unidentified flying object was in the sky over the airport. Many residents of the city described a large comet-like object streaking across the sky at incredible speeds. Along with its incredible speed the object would also hover, as it did over the airport.

Then on July 15, 2010 in the eastern Chinese city of Chongqing, witnesses told the Shanghai Daily News that they saw the same object again. They described "four lantern-like objects forming a diamond shape that hovered over the city's Shaping Park for over an hour." Also on this same day the China Daily printed a story saying that an unnamed source said that the Chinese military were involved in some way but he could not comment any further.

In the days after both sightings, photographs of the strange aircraft began appearing online. Here is a collection of said photos courtesy of Paranormal Daily News:

It is important to note that the Chinese government has firm control over what information gets out into the public and what does not. The media is all state-run so a cover-up is not out of the question and in fact does seem likely. Whether the Chinese government is trying to cover up its own experimental craft or the existence of aliens is debatable.
